Workshop on “Leveraging Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Pedagogical Excellence in Higher Education” : Pre-Workshop Survey Regd.

The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Govt. of Goa and Goa State Higher Education Council (GSHEC) will be organizing the Capacity Building Workshop on “Leveraging Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Pedagogical Excellence in Higher Education” for the regular faculty of HEIs in Goa. The purpose of organizing the workshop is to offer AI training to faculty on integration of generative AI and prompt engineering in teaching/learning process in order to make the instruction more efficient and effective. This workshop has been specifically planned for the regular faculty of Higher Education Institutions (HEI)s in Goa.

The workshop will be conducted in the discipline-specific format, where faculty members will be clustered according to the disciplines of relevance. In each cluster faculty will be offered One Day exclusive hands-on training on generative AI conducted by the renowned AI expert from the industry. The training aims to equip faculty members with skills to integrate AI seamlessly into teaching/learning methods and preparation of instructional materials.

The workshop for all disciplines distributed across six clusters has been scheduled from 10th June to 15th June 2024 to be conducted at the Training Hall, 3rd Floor, Directorate of Accounts, Kautilya Lekha Bhavan, Porvorim Goa.

In order to curate the workshop based on the discipline specific requirements, it is requested to invite the input from the faculty through the pre-workshop survey form. By conducting the pre-workshop survey from the faculty on usage of Generative AI helps in assessment of the current state of AI adoption in pedagogy and related teaching/learning processes.

In view of the above, the Principal/Head of Institution is requested to kindly facilitate the survey by sending an email to all the faculty members of every discipline from their respective institution. The valuable input from the faculty will greatly contribute to the successful curation of the workshop and ensure that it meets the specific requirements of each discipline.
