- Mr. Sujay Rane, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics received Best Poster Award at the 68th Department of Atomic Energy, Solid State Physics Symposium (December 18-24, 2024) at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai, for his research titled: “Investigating the Role of Strontium on the Bioactivity of Silicate Glass and the Effect of Doping Fe”.
- Dr. Prachi Ganpat Joshi, Assistant Professor in the Department Marathi was awarded the Nelson Mandela Fellowship Award on 23rd August, 2024 in recognition of her outstanding contribution to promoting Research in Marathi Language and Literature.
- Ms. Nadine de Souza, Assistant Professor, Department of Microbiology, successfully defended her PhD thesis titled “Molecular Characterization of Marine Bacteria and their Enzymes for Textile Azo Dye Decolorization” at the School of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, Goa
- Ms. Emma Fernandes, Assistant Professor in Biotechnology, emerged as the champion in the women’s singles category and was also awarded the Best Player of the Tournament at the 1st Intercollegiate Staff Badminton Tournament organised by PES Education Society’s Ravi S. Naik College of Arts and Science.
- Frazer Taylor, Department of Commerce has successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis on “A Study on Public Health Expenditure in India at a Sub-National Level with a focus on Service Quality of District Hospitals in Goa”.
- Dr. Prachi Joshi, Department of Marathi has been honored with the INTERNATIONAL BHARAT ICON AWARD 2024 for her exceptional Marathi literary criticism book, “कादंबरी आस्वाद.”
- Dr. Prachi Joshi, Department of Marathi was awarded “The Best Research Book” for the book she authored “समकालीन कादंबरीकारांचा अभ्यास” by Goa Marathi Academy at Ravindra Bhawan, Vasco on 22nd October, 2024
- Awards for Tiatr “Chitrkar” at the Intercollegiate/Higher Secondary School Tiatr Competition organized by the Tiatr Academy of Goa
- Prof. Janet Fernandes, Department of Psychology was awarded the Inspa Ratna Award 2024 from the Indian School Psychology Association (InSPA) on 24th October 2024
- Dr. Mira Parmekar from the Department of Chemistry secured 2nd place for her research poster presentation at the two-day International Conference on “Green Energy: Powering a Sustainable Future,” held on September 24th and 25th, 2024, at Government College Khandola.
- Dr. Magdalene D’Souza, Department of Hindi was conferred ‘Hindi Sevi Puraskaar’ by Gomantak Rashtrbhasha Vidhyapeeth on 19th September 2024.
- Dr. Andrew D’Souza, Department of Chemistry receives from C.M. Dr. Pramod Sawant, the sanction letters under the Hand Holding & Start-Up Scheme 2023-24 of the Directorate of Internships, Incubation and Industry in Partnership with Goa University.
