Instructions for UG admission 2024-25
The Goa Board results will be announced on April 21, 2024, which means that undergraduate (UG) admissions for programs offered in colleges under the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) Goa will commence shortly.
Given this context, I would like to bring the following points to your attention:
- Finalization of UG Programs as per NEP 2020: The DHE office is in the process of finalizing the UG programs according to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This will require issuing No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for new UG programs. Once these NOCs are issued, colleges can update their prospectus and upload them on their respective college web portals.
- Prospectus Publication: To avoid confusion among students seeking first-year admission, we kindly request that you do not upload your college prospectus until we have finalized the new UG programs and provided the necessary NOCs. This will ensure that the information available to students is accurate and consistent.
- Configuration of SAMARTH Portal: The SAMARTH portal will need to be configured for the 2024 admissions process, reflecting the new UG programs offered by each college. We will provide training to all college coordinators to ensure they can successfully configure the system. Once this configuration and testing are complete, the DHE Goa will announce the start date for UG admissions for the 2024-25 academic year.
