“Vidnyan Dhara 2024” the 3rd Edition of a Mega Science Series to disseminate Science and Technology to every student

National Science Day is celebrated annually on the 28th February to honor the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ and to inspire the youth, towards science, technology & innovation. The latest edition of Vidnyan Dhara (2023), organized by DHE and GSHEC, was exceptionally successful. It encompassed sessions, comprising public lectures, talks, demonstrations were held across 254 Schools, Higher Secondary, Colleges, Goa University and various public locations. The Goa State Higher Education Council (GSHEC) and the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) intend to organize 3rd Edition of “Vidnyan Dhara” from 12th January-28th February 2024, with the goal of sparking scientific inquiry and fostering innovations among young students.

Over 500+ events such as lectures, demonstration, exhibitions, public lecture etc. are slated to take place. The Resource persons for the events will comprise faculty members from colleges and universities, alongside scientists from national laboratories in Goa. To ensure the seamless execution of this event, guidelines for resource persons have been attached in the brochure.

Therefore, we request you to disseminate this information among the Science faculty and encourage their participation as resource persons to conduct 2-4 sessions at assigned University, College, Higher Secondary or Schools. Interested Faculty are requested to submit their details via the provided Google link before December 28th, 2023. Guidelines of the science series are attached in the brochure below.
