Event Description: NDLI in collaboration with the British Council presents the Special Event for Teachers and Teacher Educators – “How can you integrate the UN Sustainable Development Goals into your teaching?” Description of the Webinar – What are the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? How can you translate these goals into meaningful activities for your learners? How do you motivate learners to understand and implement the values of these goals in their lives? In this webinar, we will be exploring these questions using a hands-on approach to interpreting the SDGs and their implications for our classrooms, across age levels, from primary to tertiary. We will look at practical examples to integrate these principles into our classroom teaching, to enable learners to contribute to their communities. Featured Speaker: Meena Sridharan, Teacher Educator About the Speaker: Meena has been a teacher and later a teacher educator for 30 years, in India and overseas. She has worked as a trainer with IIM Ahmedabad and the U.S. State Department. She works extensively with NGOs catering to underprivileged learner communities.
