- St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa won the overall Championship at State level Intercollegiate Cultural Event “Meteora” organised by Don Bosco College, Panjim on the 14th and 15th of February 2025.
- Ms. Astrid D’Mello and Mr. Omkar Karpe, students of the Department of Economics, were declared Runners Up at the All Goa Inter-Collegiate Quiz ‘Battle of Brains 3.0’ organized by Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim on 15th February 2025.
- Ms. Saniya Sandesh Kovtankar, a T.Y.BSc student from the Department of Chemistry (Academic Year 2023-2024), was honoured for being a topper at the TYBSc Examination in Chemistry. She was felicitated during the Valedictory function of the 22nd Annual Convention cum Workshop of the Association of Chemistry Teachers (ACT-Goa), held on 8th February 2025 at Goa University.
- Department of Sociology, Winners of Sociofiesta, an Intercollegiate Competition organised by Chowgule College, Margao.
- Ms.Poonam Palyekar (SYBA) and Ms.Kashish Mandrekar (SYBA) won the First Place at the State Level Model Making Competition on the theme “Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Innovative Solutions for a Sustainable Future”, organized by Dhempo College of Commerce and Economics, on 28th January 2025.
- Our Men’s and Women’s teams have emerged victorious at the Goa University Intercollegiate Handball Tournament 2024-25.
Gauri Shetgaonkar (Women’s Team) was also awarded ‘Player of the Tournament’.
- Gautami Talekar was awarded a Gold medal in Kumite Weight category -50kg at the 14th National Shotokan Karate Championship 2025 held at Gujarat.
- Tanisha Murgod completed Ironman 70.3 on 9th position amongst 44 teams.
- Shalil Arolkar was awarded 2nd place at the Intercollegiate Mr. Goa 2024 Bodybuilding Championship.
- Saish Shetkar and Yash Narvekar clinched Gold Medals, while Vedant Morje secured the Silver Medal at the 2nd All Goa Powerlifting (Deadlift) Championship.
- Mr. Satyam Singh and Mr. Deepankar Padloskar from TYBA Political Science secured the 2nd place in the State-Level Quiz Competition on the theme “Indian Constitution” held on 24th January, 2025 at V.M. Salgaocar College of Law in association with DHE.

- Ms. Ayushi Nemlekar and Ms. Siya Varkhandar of FYBSc won the First place at Postal Stamp Making competition

- The Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) awarded Ms. Tanaya Talkar and Mr. Guddu Kumar for achieving the highest marks in Physics and Electronics respectively, at the TYBSc 2023-2024, Goa University Examination.

- The Boys Unit of our college, won the ‘Best Institution Award’ at ATC Camp conducted by 1 Goa Battalion NCC Army wing from 22nd December 2024 to 31st December 2024.
- Ms. Shania Rodrigues (F.Y.B.A) excelled at the Goa State Karate Championship. She won Bronze medal in above 18 years + 68 Kgs category, Gold medal for team kumite above 18 years at the State Level. Shania also won Silver medals for individual kumite above 18 year + 68 kgs category and team kumite 18 years at the district level.
- Cdt. Sonali Arvind Irkal from 1 Goa Girls Battalion NCC St. Xavier’s College secured 1st place in Drill Square Test
- Mr. Piyush Harmalkar (TYBCOM.) won 4th place in ICN Goa bodybuilding under 23.
- Ms. Tessica Campos, SYBCOM, St. Xavier’s College, secured the 1st Consolation Prize at the 58th A.D. Shroff Memorial Inter-Collegiate Elocution Competition 2024-2025
- Cdt. Anshu S. Jaiswar secured 1st place in the Painting Competition among 9 directorates in the Senior Wing category.
- Congratulations to our St. Xavier’s students Tanvi Parulekar, Saniya Pednekar, Pushpa Parab, Simran Narvekar Members of the Goa University team which won the West Zone Inter University Women Football Championship 2024-25 held at Kota, Rajasthan
- Snela Almeida (T.Y.B.Sc.) won gold medal in upto & including 69kgs weight category at the Intercollegiate Powerlifting women championship held at Goa University
- Alrich Linford D’Costa TYBBA secured a Bronze Medal at the All India National Powerlifting Championship 2024 held at Rayat Bahra University Punjab
- Jinnia Cardoso secured “Individual Kumite (Above 18 yrs, 50kgs): Silver Medal & Team Kumite (Above 18 yrs): Gold Medal”
- Mr. Anmol Mishra (FYBSc) won the First Place and Ms. Sumaiya Khan (FYBA) won the Second Place at the Inter- Collegiate Poetry recitation competition titled, ‘Poetic Political Ponderings’ organised by the Department of Political Science, Government College, Khandola, Marcela on 24 August 2024.
- Ms. Viveka Cordeiro (FYMCJ) secured first place, and Mr. Shivang Shirodkar (SYBSc) won third place at the inter-collegiate event titled ‘Iconic Impressions: Unleash the Leader Within,’ organized by the Department of Political Science at Fr. Agnel College, Pilar, on 03 September 2024.
- Reyes Barretto from FYBCom secured first place in English category and Vedika Marathe from FYBSc Biotechnology secured first place in Marathi categoryin the InterCollegiate Elocution Competition titled “AI and the Digital Divide in Education” organised by Government College of Commerce and Economics, Borda, Margao.
- St. Xavier’s College emerged as the Winners of Inter-Collegiate Chemistry event ATOMICA , organised by Carmel College of Arts , Science and Commerce for Women, Nuvem on 24th August 2024.
- NSS Volunteers, coordinated by Niyati and NSS PRO Amisha Harlankar put up an Acapella performance and bagged the 1st Place at the Intercollegiate Patriotic Singing Competition organised by Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science, Margao on 13th August 2024. The other singers were Devyani Kudnekar, Rudraksha Raul, Sajal Mardolkar, Shantashri Gaitonde, Rini Fernandes and Shenely Fernandes.
- Our women’s swimming team has clinched the Overall Championship at the Goa University Intercollege Swimming Contest! Tanisha Murgod, secured gold medals in the 50m freestyle and 50m breaststroke events. She was also crowned the Best Swimmer of the championship. Sanjana Narvekar won silver medals in the 100m freestyle and 50m butterfly events. Yvan Alvares also secured a silver medal in the men’s 100m butterfly.
- Our S.Y.B.Sc. students Bhikaji Gawade (Electronics), Namdev Shirodkar (Microbiology) and Satyawan Palyekar (Electronics) clinched the 3rd place in the prestigious “Entrepreneurship Challenge Competition” at the WSRO – World STEM & Robotics Olympiad (Regional Championships)
- Joslora Celina Mascarenhas (S.Y.B.A) won 2 Gold Medals in the 30th State Taekwondo Kyorugi Championship 2024 held on 13/07/2024 and 14/07/2024 at Manohar Parrikar Indoor stadium, Navelim, Salcete, Goa.
- Ms. Chanel Crizelle has been awarded the “Best Sportswoman of Goa University” for the academic year 2023-24.
- Mr. Vinay Harji was awarded the “Best Sportsman of Goa University” for the academic year 2023-24
- On the Goa University Foundation Day held on 29th June, 2024, St Xavier’s College was awarded the Best College in Sports(Men) and Best College in Sports(Women) for the academic year 2023-24
- Awards for Tiatr “Chitrkar” at the Intercollegiate/Higher Secondary School Tiatr Competition organized by the Tiatr Academy of Goa
- Ms. Tessica Campos (SYBCOM) secured the 1st Consolation Prize at the 58th A.D. Shroff Memorial Inter-Collegiate Elocution Competition 2024-2025 organised by the Department of Economics and Student Council and Event Planning and Management Cell of Government College, Borda, Margao in collaboration with The Forum of Free Enterprise, Mumbai on 14th of October 2024
- MEHAK SAYED bagged the Prestigious Iron Women title at the 1st Ever All Goa Intercollegiate women’s Weightlifting tournament.
- Chetna Thanki (TYBA English Honours) won the third place at ‘Epiphany’, the Research Paper Presentation Competition at DM’s College, Assagao on 11th October 2024

- Mr. Amit Nishad(FYBA) won 3rd place for Travel Documentary at ‘महानाम’ intercollegiate event hosted by Department of Hindi Ganpat Parsekar College of Education on 25th September 2024.
- Mr. Prometheus Chaudhari (S.Y.B.A) won 4 Gold medals in the T.K.A.G karate state and district championship. He won 2 gold medals in district championship and 2 golds medals in state championship.
- Overall Champions of “MAGNIFY 2024” organised by Don Bosco College, Panaji on 1st October 2024.
- Our girl’s Football Team were runners up at the Inter college 9-a-side football tournament organised by Don Bosco College, Panjim.
- Girl’s Judo Team Ms. Mehak Sayed won silver medal in 57 kgs category , Ms. Varsha Mishra silver medal in 48kgs category and Ms. Sanjana Nabik bronze medal in 48kgs category at the Goa University Inter College Judo Championship.
- St. Xavier’s College Best Physique Team won the Runner-Up title at the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Best Physique Championship! Congratulations to : Brenden Sawant: Gold Medal (Upto & incl. 65 Kg) and Shahil Arolkar: Silver Medal (Upto & incl. 70 Kg)
- Yash Vivek Pawar (SYBCom), has officially broken the Guinness World Record for 77 jumping jacks in 30 seconds.
- Ms. Astrid Rachel D’Mello (SYBA Economics) and Mr. Omkar Mohan Karpe (FYBA Economics) achieved third place in the State Level Research Paper Competition held on September 21, 2024. Their paper, titled “Employment and Skilling,” was presented at the event organized by Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College of Commerce and Economics.
