The elections for the Executive Council and Class Representatives were conducted on 11th and 12th August 2025 at St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa. For the second consecutive year, the Executive Council elections were held in a presidential (direct election) format for four key positions: General Secretary, Sports Secretary, Lady Representative, and Cultural Secretary. The elections for Class Representatives were conducted on the following day.
The elected members of the Executive Council are as follows:
- Mr. Akhil Gurav – General Secretary
- Mr. Laxman Shetgaonkar – Sports Secretary
- Ms. Bani Dhabolkar – Lady Representative
- Mr. Blaine Pereira – Cultural Secretary
The following students were nominated as Gender Champions:
- Mr. Jenish Edwards – Male Gender Champion
- Ms. Sheronne Dias – Female Gender Champion
Activities Undertaken by the Student Council:
- Teacher’s Day Celebration (8th September 2025): A cultural programme was organized in the college seminar hall to honour and appreciate the teaching faculty.
- Participation in Intercollegiate Events: Council members represented the college at various events across Goa and earned several accolades.
- Xtravaganza / Xavier’s Got Talent (30th September 2025): A one-day talent showcase provided students a platform to exhibit their skills and creativity.
- The Socials (4th December 2025): A social gathering attended by over 600 students. Mr. Yash Pawar (TYBCom) and Ms. Aloma Saldanha (TYBSc – Biotechnology) were crowned Mr. and Ms. Xavier’s respectively.
