The Department invites entrepreneurs/executives from industry and academicians to interact with the students on a regular basis. Inter-collegiate events are organised to celebrate the World Tourism Day. Seminars and workshops are conducted for enhancing knowledge related skills. Field trips form significant component of the curriculum enabling students to get better understanding of the industry. An annual Magazine “X’Plorateur” released by the Department which gives an opportunity for faculty and students to share opinions and views on various topics related to their sphere of interest.
The programme prepares students for positions of responsibility and management in the Travel and Tourism Industry. Employment opportunities are plentiful in the industry sector and include Travel Agencies, Tour Operators, Hospitality, Aviation, Cruise Liners, Rentals, and Visitors/Tourism Information Bureaus. Students can venture into business as entrepreneurs as well.

A candidate who has passed standard XIIth Examination or three years Government approved Diploma after Xth standard is eligible for admission to B.B.A (T&T) on the basis of an entrance examination (UGAT).
