Post Graduate Department of Commerce

The department has a Library which is equipped with a wide range of books, journals and magazines which are renewed every year. It is well-equipped with a computer laboratory and internet facilities which are made available to students both for subjects which demand practical sessions as well as for other academic purposes including research. Other resources of the department include ICT enabled classrooms with internet accessibility and ceiling mounted LCD projectors.

After completing M.Com Programme, the candidate should  be able to pursue research in any Universities/ Institutions for M.Phil / Ph.D  programme or join the corporate such as Banking, Insurance, Securities Market, IT enabled services and Manufacturing at Managerial Level positions in  the areas of Accounting, Finance Taxation, Marketing and Human Resources or start their own enterprises.

The Post Graduate Department of Commerce was established in July 2006. Its Vision is “To Build a Better Corporate World through Dynamic People with Academic Excellence and Industry Experience.”

As business and industry are exploring new opportunities and facing new challenges, the aim of the department is to expose each student to new vistas in Commerce and Management. The department strives “To Impart Education in order to strengthen the Management Skills of Young People so as to Nurture their Career and Reach New Heights.”
