St. Xavier’s College is the first college in Goa to start B.Sc in Electronics in the year 1996 and is affiliated to Gao University. Our college is the only college which offers Electronics-Computer Science – Physics combination in Goa.

Our department has a well-defined curriculum so that the students are job ready and skill trained after their graduation. Some of the major papers offered by this course are Electronic Communication, Electronics and Biomedical Instrumentation, Power Electronics, Computer Networks and Administration, Operating Systems, Embedded Systems etc. The Skill based and Discipline Specific papers offered are Industrial Automation (PLC and SCADA), Python and Android Programming and App development. The Department organises study tours to industrial and educational institutes. Demand and relevant technology based seminars and workshops are also conducted by the department.

Most of our students pursue their Post Graduation in Electronics (M.Sc.), Software Applications (MCA ) or Business Management (MBA). While the rest find placements mostly in Hardware Networking or Industrial Automation. Interested students are also sent for internship training in industries. After Post Graduation many of our students have been gainfully employed in the field of Embedded System and Computer Programming all over the world.
