I offer my sincere and unreserved gratitude to Professor (Dr.) Dadapir Jakati, from the Department of Geography, St Xavier’s College. His lessons have shaped my academic path in ways that are hard to describe. In his class, I could depend on his clarity, kindness, and willingness to take students seriously. This makes him outstanding.
Prof. Dr. Dadapir Jakati is an accomplished author that translates scholarship into language that we students can understand.
The Department organizes workshops, nature walks, and other co-curricular events. The students are pushed to plan small field projects, beyond the syllabus. One feels like a real explorer in the geography classes, always heard, encouraged with room for discussion or debate. The mixture of warmth, rigour, and energy in the geography class, has changed how I think about the subject.
